Energy

Energy is the ability of a system to do work.

Note: energy can be formed in many ways.

Types of energy.

1. Mechanical energy: it's the enrgy produced due to an object's motion (kinetic) or position (potential). One example of this are bowling pins. Other examples of mechanical energy are swimming, skiing or the launching of a rocket.

2. Electromagnetic: includes energy from gamma rays, x rays, ultraviolet rays, visible light, infrared rays.

3. Electrical energy: It’s energy caused by the movement of electrons. This energy is easily transported through power lines and converted into other forms of energy.

4. Chemical energy: energy that is available for release from chemical reactions. The chemical bonds in a matchstick store energy that is transformed into thermal energy when the match is struck.

5. Thermal energy: Heat energy. Determinates how active its atoms are. Produced by the rapid of the atoms.
